so here is the Skywalk connecting bridge, which i literally just finished, it will be 60m in length, the windows will allow snipers to pick off troops from above, below and from both sides, but there is enough cover for players to cross, however, because i want the map to force a more team oriented game play, to successfully stop players reaching the other side, snipers will have to work in pairs, also the glass will present an obstacle so that the first shot wont be the kill shot, any suggestions on the design will always be welcome, the central walkway still needs things like rails either side, possibly with metal plates running along the length of it to provide extra protection.
im tempted to go with just one, that would intensify the battles at that point of crossing, i was thinking of having a single roof section to allow two points of connection between the two buildings, but what do you think?, more than one walkway or not?.
i think 2 because with 2 if there is more fighting at 1 of the walkways one team can push through the second and flank around and capture the other walkway suprising the enemy.
i guess having it on another level would add a chance to parachut onto the other skywalk and shoot through the ceiling if it has a glass roof. so yh it could be better to have it on another level
dont think i ever played scrap metal, but i didnt have the other maps in BF3, something else that came to mind about having two walkways was that because the space between the buildings will be 60m it would be enough room to get a chopper in there, having two walkways will test the pilots skill, flying inbetween the walkways or under the bottom one.
keep making the suggestions, as all this will be presented to dice when its done, in reference to the walkways you mean have them on the same level, love that idea
