Beware Battlefield 1 Beta Scam

Dan Mitre is the lead Global Community Manager.
Jeff Braddock is the North American Community Manager.
Lee Williams is Community Manager for UK.

Bingo.

You should definitely follow these dudes on Twitter.

Other worthwhile following are
Julian Manolov: Developer at DICE LA, creative mind behind the Phantom program and other Easter eggs.
David Sirland: Senior Producer at DICE LA for CTE and some of the DLCs
Aleks Grøndal: Senior Producer at DICE Sweden for Battlefield 1
Nathalie Ek: UI/UX designer at DICE Stockholm

And lots of others…LOL

‘Participant in the Battlefield GameChanger program’

How did you get in? Are you not allowed to say?

I’m not 100% how and why, but I just got in. It’s bigger than you think, there are many people in there, probably a couple of hundred. I don’t know who to be honest, but we get emails from the Community managers from time to time about stuff related to the game. I can’t really talk about that, but apart from the Closed alpha and some stuff between the reveal and the closed alpha, there isn’t much to tell.

The big YouTubers & Streamers have priority access and get a lot more opportunities and info. The little guys like me occasionally get a bone so to say…LOL

The ‘how’ is basically because I got to talk to Jeff Braddock somewhere in April and that got me on ‘the list’.

Jeff Braddock, the guy who shut down DannyonPC Origin account, some say Jeff had no good reason to do so, some say DannonPC deserved it, I remember him

Well, personally I think Danny can be a little disrespectful cunt, so if his account was suspended you can be sure it was deserved.
In general Jeff is a reasonable guy, at least all the times I have dealt with him.
But you can’t imagine the shit they have to put up with on a daily basis from people.
That’s part of the job of being a Community Manager offcourse.

I talked about this with Dan Mitre in the past and they have their limits.
If you push the wrong buttons they will suspend your account.

Yes, Danny is a bit of a spammer, but it’s social media, you can’t shut down someone Origin account for replying to a twitter update, I personally don’t even enjoy Danny’s YT content, watched a few videos and was like ‘meh…’ but Jeff was in the wrong here, they did however unblocked him at a later stage, which was probably the best thing to do

I don’t know what happened, so I can’t say for sure, but I’m assuming he didn’t just get suspended over something he said on Twitter. But again, I don’t know what happend so it’s purely speculation on my part.

I don’t like Danny’s videos either by the way. I’m not even sure why anyone would like to watch them, but hey, to each his own right?

I think he really has a bad voice for making YouTube videos and his English pronunciation isn’t really good either. That’s why I never voice over my own videos and basically only use raw material, my voice is shitty for YouTube as well. My English pronunciation is pretty good though…at least, I think it’s good enough…LOL

But anyway, I think there are plenty dickheads in this community and some people like that.
Since I’m old I don’t give a shit about those cursing shitty kids who crave attention on Youtube, Twitch and Twitter.
I’m more interested in the calm and informative community members who at least try to act reasonable and even professional.

There’s a reason EA uses guys like Darkness, LevelCap, Westie. StoneMountain and Neebs.
Using offensive little cunts for promotional activities is never a good idea from a marketing point of view.

I think XFactor is also a good example, he’s straight to the point, doesn’t take shit and makes a lot of noise, but not really in a negative way though.

But then again it’s EA, EA was voted ‘worst company of the year’ 2 times in a row so I am not surprised that EA employees does this type of things

I feel sorry for DICE, they have to deal with EA, DICE seems like nice guys

(EA also wanted to make the next Battlefield title, not Battlefield 1, but a future shooter… just saying)

Yeah, Xfactor, JackFrags, the occasional FrankieOnPC videos, Matimio and Levelcap are all great guys, I really enjoy watching their videos, Neebs is just really funny and the things they get up to in the game is just very entertaining to watch

I have a South African accent and don’t really mind if people don’t like my voice, or if they don’t enjoy listening to me talking, it’s OK to each his own, haha

Thanks for the screen capture of that tweet, I need to look that up…

I just got educated! Thanks.

I just dont want to follow “marketing” people who are only going to promote their stuff. I am more into following community “insiders”/

You should buy a new domain called BattlefieldEducationForum.net

And what is the Battlefield GameChanger program? Havent heard of that either.

Anyone know what actually happened?

You mean like the awesome cats that hang out here?
